England are now seven wins from seven in Group Six, so a win over Croatia in September will see Capello’s men heading to the World Cup 2010 in South Africa.

Jose Mourinho says he expects striker Zlatan Ibrahimovich to stay at Inter.

Ibrahimovich, who has been linked with a move to Barcelona, recently admitted that he felt he had achieved all he could with the Italian champions.

However, Mourinho says he expects the unsettled striker forward to stay put.

“I don’t think Ibra will leave,” he told Corriere dello Sport.

Should Ibrahimovich decide to switch to Barca, striker Samuel Eto’o could go the opposite way in exchange.

“If he does go, it will only be to a big club, and one with whom we can exchange a player of a similar level,” added Mourinho.

The Portuguese coach admits he is hopeful Ricardo Quaresma will also stay with the club after rumours he may be on the way out.

“Quaresma paid for the fact that he arrived after the start of the season,” said Mourinho. “He didn’t have time to adapt and it is difficult to show what you’re worth immediately.

“I’m certain that with a proper pre-season and four, five or six friendlies he will be in shape to show what he is capable of.”
