Portuguese playmaker Luis Figo has rubbished rumours that he is in talks with Queens Park Rangers.
Reports in England claimed that the 35-year-old would leave Internazionale in the summer to join the Championship side.
But the former Barcelona and Real Madrid winger has laughed off the speculation.
“I am surprised by these stories,” Figo told the Lusa news agency.
“It is not true that I am negotiating my arrival in England, as has been published in the press.”
Figo also confirmed that Portugal coach Luiz Felipe Scolari has tried to persuade him to return to the international squad for Euro 2008.
“I have decided on my exit at this time and I will not change my decision,” added Figo.
Confirming discussions with Scolari, Figo said: “Those talks are private and not of interest to the public.”
