French playmaker Johann Micoud has admitted that he is strongly considering his future with Werder Bremen after Hungarian midfielder Krisztian Lisztes became the third player to confirm he was leaving the club.

Micoud, 30, has been upset by the departure of three players in Brazilian striker Ailton, defender Mladen Krstajic – both bound for Schalke 04 – along with Lisztes and is seeking reassurance from the Bremen management.

“Of course one question that will determine my future is: ‘How will we compensate for the losses?” asked Micoud in German magazine Kicker.

“I need some answers to my many questions.”

“It is a real shame that so many are going,” the Frenchman informed German daily Bild on Thursday.

“It will be very difficult for us next season.”
