Luis Fabiano’s agent has denied reports claiming the Brazil international has been offered a new deal by Sevilla.

Fabiano came close to leaving the Liga outfit in the summer, with Milan keen to sign him but they were unable to reach an agreement with the Spanish club.

There had been suggestions that Sevilla were ready to offer Fabiano improved terms in a bid to keep him at Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan, but his agent, Jose Fuentes, insists no talks have taken place.

Fuentes said: “It is too early to speak about a possible new deal for the player with Sevilla.

“In the last few months we have not had any more contact with the club and I don’t think this situation will change before the 2010 World Cup.

“At the moment it may be better to allow the player to concentrate on his football and develop his work with the team.”
