Man City can go top of Group A in the Europa League with a win against Lech Poznan – easyodds tipster Tom Powell previews the betting.

Raul’s brace for Schalke in Wednesday’s 3-1 win against Hapoel Tel-Aviv took him clear of Milan’s Filippo Inzaghi as the leading scorer in UEFA club competition.

The Spaniard’s personal haul now reaches 70, with 68 of those strikes coming in the Champions League. Two clinical finishes, one with either foot, sent the Arena AufSchalke into raptures as the former Real Madrid great scored his first European goals for the Bundesliga side.

He said: “I never imagined I would get so many goals in a competition like the Champions League, and even for me this is really special. I won the Champions League three times with Real Madrid, but today is a great day because I scored my first two Champions League goals for Schalke.”

Raul’s compatriot Jose Manuel Jurado hit the third to complete the rout.

“For him (Raul), it was a relief to get those goals, he was been under fire and it was good for him to show how strong he is in front of goal,” said Schalke coach Felix Magath.

“It was good for us that we scored some nice goals and played some good football.

“It will give us a confidence boost, we have always played well in the Champions League, but now we need to concentrate on the league.”

In the next round of matches, Schalke travel to Tel Aviv on November 2.
