Real Madrid’s Ronaldo is the subject of speculation linking him with a move to Premiership Chelsea after he travelled to England to watch the London club’s clash with Liverpool last night, only to be ordered back to Spain by the Real president at the last minute.
Florentino Perez is understood to have telephoned Ronaldo while the striker was on his way to Stamford Bridge for a ‘social visit’.
The fact that he was travelling with agent Marc Roger – the man who instigated Claude Makelele’s move from Real Madrid to Chelsea – has reignited rumours that he is a Blues target.
