PSV Eindhoven midfielder Mark van Bommel is set for talks with Spurs with a view to a move to White Hart Lane in the summer.

The Dutch international had been linked with a move to German side Schalke after his agent revealed he was discussing a possible move to the Bundesliga. But Van Bommel admits he is interestedin a switch to England.

“I’m going to talk to Spurs,’ he said. ‘I think they have a good squad so I’m going to talk to them.

“Spurs are interested in me and I’m interested in them. Every team (in the Premiership) has internationals and it would be good to play against them.”

Van Bommel is out of contract in 2005 and the Dutch side do not want him to leave on a free transfer.
