Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has denied a charge of improper conduct and requested a personal hearing with the Football Association.

Wenger was charged by the FA after suggesting in a post-match interview that Ruud van Nistelrooy cheated during Arsenal’s recent 2-0 defeat at Old Trafford.

Van Nistelrooy has served a three game ban after a challenge on Ashley Cole in the game on 24 October.

Arsenal’s defeat to their rivals ended the Highbury side’s record 49-game unbeaten run.
