Joseph Yobo has agreed terms with Everton and will complete his permanent move to the Premier League club when the transfer window re-opens in January.

Yobo has impressed since moving to England and is regarded as instrumental in Everton’s good start to the season.

Perennial relegation strugglers in recent years, Everton have surprised many by their recent run which saw the club win six Premier League matches in a row and move up to third in the table. Sunday’s defeat against Newcastle brought that run to an end but they remain handily placed in fifth spot.

Yobo’s new deal will run for four years from the end of the current season.
