Manchester City have confirmed that Robinho has walked out on the club’s training camp in Tenerife.
The Brazilian reportedly stormed out on Monday night after learning that the club would not be signing his compatriot Kaka.
It is believed the 24-year-old has grown unhappy at Eastlands, as he has become frustrated with City’s disappointing performances on the pitch, while his latest outburst threatens his own future at the club.
Reports suggest that Robinho and City boss Mark Hughes have had a falling out, which has seen the player walk out on the rest of the squad.
Robinho is believed to have flown back to Brazil to consider his position at City, but the club have given no official reason for his departure.
The Blues broke the British transfer record when they splashed out £32.5million on the 24-year-old in August last year and his displays on the pitch have endeared him to the City supporters.
But the player has a history of problems off the pitch, with former Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon claiming of his move to City that ”his departure from Madrid wasn’t just due to sporting reasons, there is something else, which I can’t understand.”
Robinho has also hit out at City this season, criticising them for their “small-time mentality”, which had led many to question his commitment to the club.
