Martin O’Neill and Aston Villa make the trip to Bulgaria this Thursday as they continue their UEFA Cup campaign against Litex Lovech.

Chelsea have confirmed that Ray Wilkins has ben appointed to the the club’s coaching staff.

Blues boss Luiz Felipe Scolari has moved to bring the 52-year-old in as assistant first-team coach to replace Steve Clarke, who left for West Ham earlier this week.

In 1999 Wilkins became assistant to then Blues manager Gianluca Vialli but he followed the Italian to Watford when he left the club in 2001.

Wilkins started his playing career at Stamford Bridge and played nearly 200 games for the club before he was sold to Manchester United.

He went on to win 83 England caps and also played for Milan, Paris St. Germain, Rangers and Queens Park Rangers.
