Barcelona have turned down a €60million bid from Milan for playmaker Ronaldinho, according to the Brazilian’s agent.

The Champions League holders have been long-term admirers of the former Fifa World Player of the Year and reportedly tabled the offer.

However, Barca swiftly rejected the move, despite signing of Thierry Henry from Arsenal this close-season.

“Milan offered €60million, but Barcelona said no,” Ronaldinho’s agent and brother Roberto Assis is quoted in Gazzetta dello Sport.

Ronaldinho’s Barca contract expires in 2010 and Assis claims the Spanish club are hopeful of retaininig the player for the remainder of his career.

“To be honest, the contract of Ronaldinho has already been touched up four times,” he continued.

“There is an interest at Barcelona to extend the contract until the closing of Ronaldinho’s career.”
