Barcelona defender Adriano could be sidelined for the rest of the season with a hamstring injury he suffered in Wednesday’s Copa del Rey defeat to Real Madrid.

The Brazilian was replaced just before the end of the match, which Madrid won 1-0 after extra-time.

Scans have shown he has damaged his hamstring which will keep him out of action for four weeks.

That means Adriano is set to miss Barca’s final six league matches, with the season finishing on the weekend of May 21/22.

He could potentially be available to coach Pep Guardiola if the club reach the Champions League final on 28th May.

Barcelona are already without fellow left-back Eric Abidal, who will miss the rest of the season after undergoing surgery on a tumour on his liver.
