Serbia police say the Red Star-Partizan derby match will go ahead as scheduled in Belgrade on Saturday despite fears of clashes between rival supporters of the two clubs.
The decision was made at a meeting between police and the two Belgrade clubs, even though their supporters were involved in riots last week.
Serb police chief Ivica Dacic says some 5,000 officers will be on duty in the capital during the match at the 60,000-capacity Red Star stadium.
Serbian hooligans rioted in Italy during a Euro 2012 qualifying match two days later, causing the game to be abandoned after seven minutes.
