Graeme Souness has told Craig Bellamy he has no future at St James’ Park while he is Newcastle manager.

The 25-year-old striker accused Souness of lying following his ommission from the squad for last week’s Premier League match at Arsenal.

Bellamy has been left out of the squad to face Coventry in the FA Cup.

“He can’t play for me ever again,” Souness told BBC Radio Newcastle.

“He can’t go on television and accuse me of telling lies.”

Newcastle chairman Freddy Shepherd described Bellamy’s behaviour as “totally unacceptable and totally unprofessional”.

Blackburn, Birmingham and Portsmouth have made enquiries about the Welsh striker but with Newcastle valuing him at £7m, a loan move until the end of the season seems the most likely option. .
