Avram Grant is still odds-on to be the next Premiership manager to leave despite West Ham’s 1-1 draw at Blackburn

Pep Guardiola has admitted that he could be tempted to manage in England once his reign at Barcelona comes to an end.

The 39-year-old coach took charge at Camp Nou in 2008 and has attracted plaudits for the success he has brought to the club as well as the manner in which the team has played.

The former Spain international admits that he would welcome the opportunity to work in the Premier League, having missed out on the chance to turn out in England during his playing days.

“As a player I was interested but it was not possible,” said Guardiola.

“I would not rule it out.

“It is not something I have planned yet but because of the nature of this job, I know I will not be here forever or even for many years.

“I don’t rule it out but neither is it something I am planning at the moment.”

Guardiola is reported to have attracted interest from Chelsea in the recent past, while Arsenal and Manchester United view him as a possible replacement for their long-serving bosses Arsene Wenger and Sir Alex Ferguson.
