With Carlos Tevez signed and Emmanuel Adebayor looking a certain for Eastlands, Manchester City have been cut again to break the hallowed big 4 in 2009/10 – do you think they can do it?

Everton manager David Moyes has reiterated Manchester City target Joleon Lescott is not for sale.

Lescott has been linked with a move away from Everton this summer with big-spending City thought to be lining up a bid for the England international.

“I have already said there will be no players sold at Everton and I do not feel I need to say any more,” Moyes told shareholders at the club’s AGM.

“The board have never sold a player from me, it will only be at my discretion.

“I said it at the end of the season and I do not need to say any more.”

Everton chairman Bill Kenwright confirmed that Moyes will make the final decision on any transfers.

“You heard what he [Moyes] said and he said it right at the start of the summer – ‘none of my players are going’ and I think all of this speculation doesn’t do anyone any favours,” Kenwright told Sky Sports News.

“David Moyes, and only David Moyes I promise you, will make the decisions on the playing staff at this football club.

“He said, and he means it, nobody is for sale.”
