Serie A champions Inter have reached an agreement with Bayern Munich to buy Brazilian centre-half Lucio.
The South American stopper has spent the last eight years in Germany, taking in spells at Bayer Leverkusen and Bayern.
Lucio, who had 12 months left to run on his contract at Bayern, is set to sign a three-year deal with Inter.
“The clubs have agreed and the player has also agreed with Inter,” Bayern general manager Uli Hoeness told the club’s official website.
“After the Confederations Cup it was his expressed wish to leave Bayern if there was an offer from a major club.
“We are of course sad that he is leaving because Lucio did outstanding work here.”
