Inter kept up the pressure on top of the table Milan with a 2-0 away victory over Torino.
At half time Inter and Torino were lrvrl with neither team really taking hold of the game, it took until the 48th minute for Inter to score. Thegoal came when a misplaced clearance by the Torino Keeper Luca Bucci found its way into the path of Vieri.
Nine mMinutes laterTurkish midfielder Okan Buruk added a second.

Leaders Milan maintained theirplace at the top of the table with a 2-1 win over 13th placed Modena at the San Siro.
Andrea Pirlo opened the scoring from thepenalty spot on the 76th minute, in-form Inzaghi added a second with ten minutes to go. Milan held on for the victory despite a late goal from Modena’s Massimo Scoponi.
Champions Juventus failed to keep up the pressure on the top two, they only managed a 1-1 draw with ten man Atlanta.
Third-placed Juve were forced to come from behind as Atalanta’s Alex Pinardi scored five minutes before the break. Marco Di Vaio equalised for the champions shortly after half-time. To make matters worse for Juventus, captain Alessandro Del Piero limped off with a thigh injury, which could keep him on the sidelines for up to 1 month.
Fourth-placed Lazio and fifth-placed Chievo Verona managed a 1-1 draw to move within two points of Juventus. Chievo went ahead through an Eugenio Corini penalty before Diego Simeone equalised with his head on 88 minutes.
In Sunday’s other games, 6thplaced Parma beat Udinese 3-2, Como climbed above Torino at the bottom of the table by drawing 0-0 with Empoli, while Regina beat Perugia 3-1.
Saturday saw Brescia beat Piacenza 4-1 – and in the process lead to the sacking of Piacenza coach Andrea Agostinelli – while 8th placed Roma beat 7th placed Bologna 3-1 at home.
