Mark Hughes’ Man City will need to overturn a 3-1 1st-leg deficit tonight if they want to make the UEFA Cup semi-finals.

Juventus general manager Jean Claude Blanc has dismissed speculation over the future of Claudio Ranieri by insisting he will stay at the club next season.

Reports in Italy have suggested that former Chelsea boss Ranieri could be fired if he does not secure a second place finish in Serie A.

Genoa boss Gian Piero Gasperini has been linked with a possible move to Juve to replace Ranieri, but Blanc insists Ranieri will remain in Turin next term.

“Ranieri is the coach of Juventus,” said Blanc.

“He will remain our coach regardless of what happens at the end of the season.

“When his contract expires, we will think about the future, but not before.”

Blanc also refused to confirm if the club were chasing Werder Bremen attacker Diego.

“Diego at Juve? We will talk about the market in June,” concluded Blanc.
